Bone & Stem Cell

Biology Lab

My research is primarily based on understanding the mechanisms behind degeneration and regeneration of bone tissues. I focus on addressing bone tissue engineering in a holistic manner and want to develop a therapeutic approach for the same.

Our research involves primary culture of stem cells, molecular biology techniques, synthesis and characterization of materials for bone tissue engineering, development of small animal models for diseases including osteoporosis, arthritis, disc degeneration. Members of my team are currently working on the following aspects of bone biology:

01.

Bone Image

Synthesis of novel biomaterials for repair and regeneration of bone

02.

Cell Division

Development of a iPSC's for secretion of growth hormones

03.

Bone Marrow

Explore the crosstalk between different cells homing the bone marrow

04.

Cell

Derive the molecular mechanisms of bone regeneration
